On the afternoon of October 25th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Anthony Capuano, President, and CEO of Marriott International (USA). During the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated and highly appreciated the successes of Marriott International in developing luxury resort hotel chains globally and in Vietnam.
The Prime Minister stated that Vietnam is committed to developing tourism rapidly and sustainably, considering it a crucial economic sector contributing to the overall national and local economic development. Simultaneously, the country aims to provide the most favorable conditions for investors with a spirit of harmonious benefits and shared risks. With a continuous commitment to facilitating investors, the Prime Minister proposed that Marriott continue to implement plans to expand investment in the tourism, hotel, and resort sectors, with large-scale projects suitable for Vietnam's conditions.
Appreciating Vietnam's potential and advantages in tourism development, Marriott's leadership commits to continuing to expand long-term investments in Vietnam. Mr. Anthony Capuano stated that Marriott plans to further expand its business activities in Vietnam, aiming to open an additional 20 hotels and resorts in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, and more. Currently, Marriott manages 16 hotels and resorts under 8 global brands in Vietnam, such as JW Marriott, Le Meridien, Sheraton.

Mr. Capuano also expressed the desire to continue promoting the image to attract more international tourists to Vietnam, contributing to the growth of Vietnam's tourism industry and enhancing cooperation in areas highlighted by the Prime Minister. Marriott also indicated its commitment to employing more high-quality Vietnamese workforce within the group's hotel system and actively engaging in social welfare activities in Vietnam.
Most recently, at the end of October, Marriott International, Inc. announced the commencement of operations and turnover of the first luxury apartment complex in Vietnam in collaboration with Masterise Homes, named Grand Marina Saigon.
